Gwen lives in Christchurch, New Zealand, and is currently based at 27 Essex Street.
She is interested in what is there and what is not -surfaces and gaps, light and shadow, seen and unseen, which reveal hard truths and suggest a range of new possibilities.
Her most recent work has explored the community and the individual - connections, interactions, and influences.
She has degrees in the humanities from the Universities of Canterbury and Otago (2003, 2009), and a Diploma in Ceramic Art from the Otago Polytechnic, Dunedin (2019).
She has taught ceramics and glazing in Christchurch for the past decade.
